This is opposed to a parliamentary sovereignty state, South Africa pre- 1994/democracy where Parliament made laws concerning anything. A valid Act of Parliament could not be questioned in the court of law. Parliament was the supreme lawmaker. The aftermath of parliamentary sovereignty was the apartheid government which was a crime against humanity.
